Born from a need for creativity and a love for meaningful moments, Glint Events has gone from a one-woman show to being listed as a top wedding and event planning team in Central Virginia and the DC metro area. by the ranks of Virginia Living Magazine, The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Richmond Magazine.

Founder & Managing DirectorAs Glint Events’ Founder, Kate dedicates herself wholeheartedly to every facet of the business. From providing enthusiastic and comprehensive planning for weddings, non-profit, and corporate events, to offering strategic and supportive team management, Kate has created one of the top Wedding and Event Planning companies in Central Virginia.
After obtaining her Master’s degree in Marketing and Business, Kate spent time planning and executing complex events for a national corporation prior to founding Glint Events. In her free time, you’ll likely find Kate dreaming about the future and spending time with her husband, kids, and two Wheaten Terriers.

Senior Wedding PlannerBehind every exceptional wedding is an organized and creative planner, which is where Brooke thrives. From connecting with couples and delighting in the excitement of their big day to designing custom elements and keeping up with timelines, Brooke loves everything about wedding planning!
After graduating from High Point University, Brooke gained her event planning experience while living in Baltimore and working at the historic Belvedere. She moved to Richmond in 2022 and loves exploring the river city with her husband and her Lab/Boxer mix, Lucy.

Katy’s keen eye for details and her exceptional organizational skills ensures every aspect of Glint Events operates smoothly. From creatively managing social media and marketing to playing a pivotal role in the behind-the-scenes event planning, Katy is the backbone of our team.
A Richmond native to her core, Katy enjoys exploring both the well-known landmarks and the hidden gems of her beloved city. Outside of the office, Katy is most likely crocheting, practicing morning yoga, window shopping for her next pair of shoes, or spending plenty of down time with her cat, Marshmallow.

So much of what we do can’t be seen in the pictures from our events. Behind the scenes, we are committed to supporting black and minority owned businesses within the event industry. We strive to create a welcome and open environment for everyone we work with at each and every event.
